Course Overview
This beekeeping course introduces learners to the fascinating world of honeybees and provides practical knowledge on how to establish and manage productive bee colonies. It covers essential aspects of beekeeping, including bee biology, behaviour, hive management, and honey production.
Learners will explore the important role bees play in agriculture through pollination, contributing significantly to crop production such as fruits and oilseeds. This beekeeping course also covers apiary setup, equipment use, swarm management, honey harvesting, and the identification and control of common bee diseases and pests. By the end of the course, learners will be equipped to manage an apiary, produce hive products, and contribute to sustainable agricultural systems.
