Course Outcomes

 

SPECIFIC OUTCOME 1

Identify the importance of the different poultry breeds and the benefits of cross breeding.

SPECIFIC OUTCOME 2

Identify and understand the importance of nutrition and the nutrients that are required for poultry production.

SPECIFIC OUTCOME 3

Understand the different layer production systems.

SPECIFIC OUTCOME 4

Understand the key factors regarding the broiler production system.

SPECIFIC OUTCOME 5

Understand the different incubation systems and the importance of brooding and rearing management.

SPECIFIC OUTCOME 6

Identify and understand other fowl production systems and the management of manure.

SPECIFIC OUTCOME 7

Identify the important poultry diseases and the factors affecting the economics of poultry.

 

4 Week course at 5 hours per week as a guide, but students can complete on own time
