When you have completed this module, you will be able to:
SPECIFIC OUTCOME 1
The learner is introduced to brassica production including the climatic conditions needed for production.
SPECIFIC OUTCOME 2
The learner will be able to understand and identify good fertilisation practices, seedbeds and transplanting of brassicas.
SPECIFIC OUTCOME 3
The learner will understand the need for appropriate irrigation and good harvesting systems.
SPECIFIC OUTCOME 4
The learner will be able to identify and implement appropriate procedures for weeds, pests and disease management as well as understand the importance of correct variety selection.
3 Week course at 5 hours per week as a guide, but students can complete on own time
